David Gainey
Pastor
Pastor David grew up in south Alabama where he met his wife Hope during college. They’ve been married since 1993. They moved to Tucson in 1997 to start Oasis. They’ve raised four children: Grace, Joy, Faith, and Graham and “adopted” Nicole as an adult.
Pastor David earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Divinity from Samford University/Beeson Divinity School. He earned a Doctor of Ministry from Gateway Seminary in 2020. Since 2000, David has taught religion and philosophy at Pima Community College, the University of Phoenix, and Park University. Pastor David enjoys saltwater fishing, duck hunting, hiking, and watching sports (Arizona basketball and Auburn football). He loves the outdoors, especially the beach and mountains. David’s favorite television includes Seinfeld, the Office, Psych, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Arrested Development.
