Annette Weneck

Home Church Leaders' Mentor

Annette relocated with her family to Phoenix in 1969, where she completed her education at Grace Lutheran School, Glendale High School, Glendale Community College, and subsequently attended Arizona State University. During her tenure at Price Club in Mesa, she met her future husband, Tom. In 1991, Annette and Tom moved to Seattle due to Tom's employment with Boeing. Their family expanded in 1997 through the adoption of their daughter, Naomi, from the foster system, followed by the adoption of their son, Jacob, six months later. In 2000, Tom accepted a position with Raytheon, prompting the family's return to Arizona and subsequent settlement in Tucson. That same year, the family began attending Oasis Church, where Annette became an active participant in both community initiatives and ministry work. She served as a Girl Scout leader and Service Unit leader in Rita Ranch for twelve years, and volunteered for over a decade as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for teens in foster care. Annette joined the staff of Oasis Church in 2007 as the administrative assistant, a position she held until her retirement in 2017. Following her retirement, she remained committed to serving others; in the summer of 2025, she began assisting Pastor David in mentoring home church leaders, transitioning to this role full-time in November 2025. Annette conducts bi-monthly meetings with leaders, providing encouragement, prayer, and guidance, and maintains regular communication to foster supportive relationships. She values developing meaningful connections with each leader. In 2021, Annette welcomed her grandson, Sage, who has become an important part of her life. In her leisure time, Annette enjoys golfing with Tom, off-road riding in their RZR, and camping on the beaches of Mexico.
